Interest in minimalist life is increasing day by day. People are looking for an alternative lifestyle to get away from the city crowd and relax. We continue to discover new tiny houses for you. Today we will examine ‘Ecological Niu Haus Tiny House by IAAC Students’, which is suitable for the minimalist life of your dreams.

Niu Hous is an ecological tiny house designed by students of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). It was designed by graduate students in six weeks and manufactured in eight weeks and completed in 2019. This house built in Barcelona is a house that can meet its own electricity and water needs.

The unique design of the house is made from pines harvested from the Valldaura forest. Harvested and processed wood pieces are combined to give a magnificent appearance.

The house has a completely unique metabolic system. Solar panels are placed on the upper part of the house and in this way the energy need of the house is solved. It can stay in working condition for three days without the sun. The dry toilet composts waste through a cultivated microbiome. A tank collects rainwater and meets its water needs. With all these features, Niu Haus becomes suitable for independent living.

The interior of the house is completely covered with wood and it attracts attention with its stylish appearance. The ventilated façade receives plenty of natural light and creates a spacious interior. The interior of the house includes a bed, kitchen, dining area and smart storage spaces to ensure a comfortable living.

This unique structure was built with a budget of 20,000 Euros after three months of design and research.
